The Farmer Training Program Coordinator supports Glynwood’s farmer training initiatives including the Hudson Valley Farm Business Incubator, which provides business planning and technical assistance to new farm enterprises in their first five years of operation; Apprenticeship program, which offers hands-on practicum and in-field mentoring supported by classroom curriculum; and regional land access work. The Farmer Training Program Coordinator will play a key role in facilitating the Mid-Hudson chapter of the Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farmer Training (CRAFT) and integrating organic education into farmer training programming.
Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Farmer Training, the Farmer Training Program Coordinator will engage in various program activities such as outreach and communication in Spanish and English with program participants and farmers, facilitation of program events, technical service coordination and provision, development of educational events and curricula, program experience evaluation, and recordkeeping. Glynwood is seeking a part-time Vegetable Crew Member to assist the vegetable production team in the field with daily tasks related to the planting, care, and harvesting of vegetable crops. This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to be working outdoors in a beautiful setting, learn basic farming skills and get an introduction to organic farming practices. This is a seasonal position working 16 to 30 hours from mid-May to mid- August with a possibility of working through October.

The Event Security Guard, as directed by the Social Events Manager, provides safety and guidance to Glynwood’s guests during weddings and events. The job consists of evening work as needed from May-October. The approximate hours are Friday 6-11pm, Saturday 7pm - 2am and occasional weekdays.
