Jennifer Becker joined the Glynwood team as Director of Development in November 2021. Her 20+ year career spans all areas of fundraising, with expertise in institutional giving and funding strategy development. Most recently, Jennifer worked as Director of Foundation Relations at The New York Botanical Garden, and previously was Manager of Institutional Giving at Wave Hill. Jennifer has additional professional experience from Stepping Stones Museum for Children; Queens Library; Brooklyn Public Library; The South Street Seaport Museum; and Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum.
Jennifer has always felt connected to nature, and her love for the natural world truly took root while working at NYBG and Wave Hill, where she gained a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness between plant, animal, and human life. A borough of Queens native, Jennifer’s move to Westchester County in 2015 increased her exposure to locally sourced and ethically produced food, further strengthening her appreciation for the local farm movement. Jennifer believes deeply in Glynwood’s mission, is dedicated to supporting the organization’s regenerative farming efforts regionally and beyond, and is committed to building a more equitable and just food future for all.
Jennifer holds a B.A. in Art History from Pratt Institute and a Postgraduate Diploma from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, in Art Business. She lives in Scarsdale, NY and enjoys hiking, heirloom variety vegetables, and making homemade granola.
