Penelope Perkins Wilson, Director Emerita
Penelope Wilson was born and grew up in New York State. She attended schools in New York and Virginia and attending Bennington College in Vermont. In 1943, she married William B. Wilson. Penny is the mother of five daughters. She is the grandmother of fourteen and great-grandmother of fifteen. Penny added Big Timber, MT, as a part-time residence with a neat craftsman house and the Grand Hotel. In Pennsylvania, Penny is currently serving on the boards of Moore College of Art & Design, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Open Land Conservancy of Chester County, and Historic Sugar Town, Inc. In Vermont, she serves on the Board of Trustees of Bennington College. In Virginia, she serves on the Board of Trustees of Chatham Hall.
Penny’s main interest is in the preservation of worthwhile buildings and landscapes whenever and wherever they happen to be.
