Judah S. Kraushaar
Judah and his wife own Meadowland Farm, a historic homestead farm located in Dutchess County. The farming activities at Meadowland Farm have evolved over the years and are now focused on grass-fed lamb and organically grown vegetables, but Judah especially takes pride in providing land, capital support and mentoring for young farmers eager to pursue entrepreneurial farming careers.
Judah has an extensive professional background in finance and investing. He is currently the Managing Partner of Roaring Brook Capital. Judah formerly ran Merrill Lynch’s Global Financial Services Equity Research team and was the top ranked bank analyst on Wall Street for more than a decade. He is also a best-selling author, having co-written The Real Deal: My Life in Business and Philanthropy with former Citigroup CEO, Sandy Weill.
Judah holds BA and MBA degrees from Cornell University. In addition to farming, he is an avid advocate for social businesses that embrace financial and social returns. He serves on the global board of the Israel Venture Network, the leading sponsor of Israeli social entrepreneurs. Judah and his wife, Michele, have resided in the Hudson Valley for over 30 years and have three grown children.
