A better regional food system starts with you.
We need to do more than just facilitate change: we can (and should) use our resources, and the power your support gives us, to accelerate change. You can support our direct efforts to address food insecurity in the Hudson Valley, today.
With your support in 2020 we will:
- Donate at least 20% of all food grown and raised on Glynwood’s farm to community partners who are providing critical emergency food for low-income and limited income families in our region, particularly in light of COVID-19;
- Double the number of low-cost vegetable CSA shares we offer through our community partners, from 10 shares to at least 20 shares this year;
- Provide over $50,000 worth of in-kind support to the CSA is a SNAP pilot project, which will serve hundreds of low-income families in its first year of implementation;
- Train at least 70 regional farmers in how to accept SNAP/EBT (public food assistance benefits), and how to better serve low-income families through their direct marketing channels.
With your donation NOW, before the growing season starts, you can help us reach our goal: $100,000 in 2020 to fund this work and continue to develop projects that advance food access and affordability in our region. Every donation counts!
