Yes, the rumors are true, that buzz about town is not just hearsay, Glynwood is opening a brand new farm store.
I know, we are thrilled too.
For our CSA members, this means that more high-quality, artisanal products from all over the Hudson Valley will be available to you à la carte at your weekly pick up. Additionally, some items will be available in bulk and at a reduced price as “add-on” shares to supplement the core vegetable share. Currently under consideration for “add-on” shares
and for retail are fair trade coffee, fair trade tea, Sprout Creek cheeses, biodynamic local fruit, organic local grains, and local honey.
For our non-members, it means that you too can stop by the farm to buy Glynwood meat and eggs as well as the weekly specialty items during our store hours.
We hope this will be a great time to meet even more of the community and to provide more of the quality items you want to feed yourselves and your families. Our farm stand will be at the CSA distribution site and should be up and running soon.
The Farm Store opens this week with hours on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3-6pm.
CSA Members — Order Now for Cheese and Coffee Shares!
We are choosing what products to carry now! In fact, on Friday, 6.8 and 6.15 and Tuesday 6.12, the store will be sampling cheeses for our cheese “shares” – $92 gets you a ten week share of a half pound of cheese per week. Organic, fair trade whole bean coffee will also be available — a purchase of three 12-ounce bags of coffee is $27. So come visit, sample and get your cheese and coffee order in by next Friday, June 15.
For non-CSA members who want in, visit CSA share to find out how to sign up. Our share members receive add-on share perks and are very important to the community at Glynwood as they share with us the risks and bountiful rewards of each season.
Spread the Word
So, go ahead and tell your friends, tell your family, tweet your joy all over the inter webs. You heard it here officially, there will be eggs and meat and who-knows-what-else available for sale starting soon!
