Accomodations
Meeting Rooms
The Main House contains meeting and dining spaces for up to 50 people. As many as 12 can meet comfortably in the Old Farmhouse, and the other houses have been used for intense working sessions for smaller groups.
Social Events
Guestrooms
Glynwood has 21 guest rooms in 4 houses. For conferences, the sleeping capacity is 27, bu
t for social events, when many of the guests are couples, 38 people can be accomodated.
When the Perkins family, the last private owners of Glynwood, acquired the property in the early 1920s, they lived in the Old Farmhouse (pdf) until the Main House (pdf) was completed. Another home, Ganna Baita (pdf), was built for the elder Mrs. Perkins, and Appledore (pdf) was erected in the 1930s as a guest cottage.
The guestrooms vary in size and furnishings, but all are equally charming. Most of them have private baths, and shared baths are used by no more than two rooms. The Main House has an elevator and two of the guestrooms have accessible baths, while the Old Farmhouse has one entrance at ground l
evel and one guestroom with an accessible bath.
Meals
Because Glynwood’s mission is to help communities in the northeastern United States save farming, our caterers use seasonal ingredients from Hudson Valley farms – including our own – to bring fresh, healthful, and satisfying meals to your table. Service can be buffet or plated, and dinner is preceded by a reception. Vegetarians and vegans can be accomodated with advance notice.
