Maps of Hudson Valley Farms

Mapping Project

One thousand square miles of farmland still exists in the ten counties adjacent to the Hudson River from Westchester up to Albany. Agriculture is still a vibrant part of the Hudson Valley landscape, economy, environment, and community.  In 2006, as part of a USDA Federal State Marketing Initiative Program grant, we mapped farms in these ten counties, with a focus on farms producing food for human consumption and farms that sell their products directly to customers.

We Need Your Help

The power of these maps lies in telling the story of the Hudson Valley’s agricultural sector so we would like them to be as accurate as possible.

We will update these maps periodically and would like to include all farms that produce food, including hay.   If you know of any farms in your area, please send the farm name, address, and type of operation to Kim Vargo at kvargo@glynwood.org
